Durante quatro dias de folia, Belo Horizonte terá quatro grandes áreas com restrição de circulação de veículos. Do sábado de Carnaval (18/2) até a terça-feira seguinte (21/2),  trechos na região da Pampulha, na praça Diogo Vasconcellos (Savassi), no bairro Floresta e no Centro, próximo a praça Sete, ficarão restritos aos foliões e aos blocos de Carnaval. 

Além das mudanças no trânsito da capital, a prefeitura de Belo Horizonte vai investir em infraestrutura para atender os foliões. Para o Carnaval 2023, que promete ser o maior da história da cidade, com cerca de 5 milhões de foliões entre os dias 4 e 26 de fevereiro, a administração municipal contratou 13.150 diárias de banheiro. Esses equipamentos serão espalhados em 90 pontos fixos da cidade. Além dessa quantidade, a capital terá outras 1.500 cabines simultâneas, que serão movimentadas para pontos estratégicos da capital.
